I can't believe how quickly time has flown. Here's the run-down on my last 10 years ... Right after graduation, I spent four great years at BYU and graduated in 2002 with a degree in Business, Financial Services. Prior to my senior year year there, I drove across the country for a summer internship in Washington DC, where I didn't know a single soul. When people asked me if I'd move back after graduation, I said "no, everyone is so uptight there and always busy with a million things." Well, I caught what they call "Potomac Fever" and after graduation and a trip to Hawaii, I drove back across the country and settled in Fairfax, VA (about 20 miles outside of DC) to start working full-time for the same firm I'd interned with. Six years later, I've morphed into one of those always busy (but not uptight) people and I'm still here doing financial planning (and loving every minute of it), living in my townhouse, and enjoying the awesome opportunities I've been able to have over the last ten years ...

Life has been anything but boring for me since graduation! Certainly not the life I'd ever thought would be mine, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I really enjoy being in the Washington DC area with so much excitement going on and so many things to do and see. I love to travel, and have been able to do pack a lot of it in the last few years. I've travelled all over the country and I've fallen in love with the East Coast (except for maybe the humidiy). I've also enjoyed some incredible time in Europe, visiting London, Ireland, Italy, and Malta. My passion for baseball has continued and by Labor Day I will complete my goal of going to a game in every MLB ballpark (only 2 left). I'll let you all know when to tune in to ESPN for my story (ha ha)! Its kind of the joke around the office that I'm always going somewhere or doing something exciting (not a bad reputation to have). Each Monday, everyone asks where I have been that weekend, and they all try to live vicariously through me. In my "free time" (when I am not working or travelling or doing something for church), I did a couple triathlons last year, and I've recently started taking tennis lessons. I figure I need to take advantage of everything while I can!

I won't be able to make it to the reunion this time, but I've loved catching up with everyone (thanks to modern technologies of blogs and Facebook)! Have a great time and I'll be anxious to see pictures of everything here.

Shanna Lillywhite
shannalillywhite@gmail.com

Class of '98 Today...

Matt Garner
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SHbi6CIwaHI/AAAAAAAAAzs/ZCG3iv0mITc/s400/Matt.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5221610304616556658" />
What! Looking back it seems like I made it my goal to become super student, writing for the student newspaper and lit magazine, being in student government, and leading various honor societies. I loved school so much that when I graduated I moved right on to grad school at Washington State University for an MA in communication. There I started a teaching assistantship, taking on my very own news writing classes. After six straight years of college I was finally ready to move onto a "real" job. The one I ended up landing was the only teaching job I applied for, which was at Dixie State College in St. George. I never wanted to be a teacher, and I certainly never expected to teach college at 24, but I've been here ever since. I guess I am forever meant to be on a college campus. I was just promoted to assistant professor of communication with tenure. I also advise the student newspaper, which provides me with all sorts of drama for which I do not get paid enough (like menacing phone calls from scorned sources and 6 a.m. text messages from students in some dire situation). I am also a freelance writer and have a pretty regular gig with St. George Magazine, and a few other things here and there. But really I'm just biding my time until I can join the Pussycat Dolls and shimmy across a stage in 6-inch thigh-high boots.

After a string of bad roommates and social interaction via a stereotypically painful singles ward (not to mention a few students who wrote their phone numbers on final exam scantrons), I was finally rescued by Mark Goble, whom I married last July. And no, he was not one of my students! He is a landscape architect for the city of St. George. He actually did the design work for a huge new park built in the area most damaged by the flood a few years ago, so it's pretty cool to see the fruits of his labors. He's from Nephi. We have no idea what's next for us in life, aside from a totally awesome reunion on Friday!

Mikelle (Nyborg) Bunker
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SHaVU7RupWI/AAAAAAAAAzU/uy62XFBq-yM/s400/DSC01864.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5221525004724643170" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SHaVVNa6hbI/AAAAAAAAAzc/ThNzBPLYiSs/s400/DSC01969.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5221525009595008434" />
I love this blog. It's been so fun! I can't believe it's been ten years! I don't feel that old yet. However, I do feel like a different person. After high school, I headed straight to BYU and danced with the Cougarettes. School and grades became less important as playing, friends, and dating became priority. Like many, I played a ton! I lived in LA for a summer, New York City the next summer, had a short stint with a professional dance company, and graduated in Fitness & Wellness Management with a Business minor. At BYU, I met so many great friends from all over the country and somehow knew I'd never make it back to Utah :( I'm sometimes envious of all of you that live close to family and see each other often.

In my last year at BYU, I met Blake from Mesa, AZ. He's amazing (don't we all think our spouses are) and I'm so grateful for him. We were married in May 2004 and moved to Arizona. We lived there for 2 years and I taught dance at a wonderful studio. Blake was ready to make a career change (life as a CPA did not suite him), so we moved to beautiful California. We live 5 miles from Laguna Beach and we love it! I'm still teaching dance - I travel often to choreograph at various studios - and Blake works in acquisitions/development at Shea Properties along with getting his MBA at UCLA. No kids yet, but hopefully soon! I definitely can't complain about life. I love summer. I love the beach. I love that many people vacation where I live and I get to see them! I hope that more of you post your updates; I didn't want to post either, but just do it! Have fun at the reunion! I would really like to see everyone! I wish I could be there! In some ways it feels like high school was
about a week ago...and yet sometimes it feels like it was about 20
years ago. However, regardless whether time has flown or crawled by
for you, I think one thing we could all agree on is that most of us
are probably not exactly where we thought we would be ten years from
our high school graduation. I have to laugh, cause in our yearbook we
were asked where we thought we'd be in twenty years and I put,
"Happily married with 12 children." Well, in order for that to come
true, I would have to get married tomorrow and start boppin' out the
kids, with a couple sets of twins along the way. Ummm...that's not
gonna happen. :) However, before I give my brief 10-year history, I
just wanted to say thank you to those who have given your updates. It
really is fun and interesting to see where everyone is in life. And
that's why I thought I'd contribute: since I've appreciated and
enjoyed hearing from all of you, maybe someone out there would like to
hear from me. But then again, maybe not. :) Also, since Sam Hess
(our former Sudent Body VP) isn't able to contribute his update, I
hope you don't mind if I do it for him.
Following graduation, I moved to Rexburg where I attended Ricks/BYUI
for a year and learned that I really hate cold weather. After a year
there, I transferred to BYU in Provo...where it was [a bit] warmer.
Sam left for his mission to Brazil, Porte Alegre South, Sept 23, 1998
where he fell in LOVE with the Brazilian people. He had the
opportunity to put together a version of the the musical "From
Cumorah's Hill" (he translated the music into Portugese) with the help
of another elder, and together they were able to help the missionary
work move forward through music. He loved it. He returned on August
24, 2000 and started school at BYU a few days later, majoring in
theater/media arts (which probably comes as no surprise since he'd
been making movies his whole life).
Sam and I dated for nine months and got engaged on May 26, 2001.
However, a few months later of July 25th, Sam was diagnosed with
non-hodgkins lymphoblastic lymphoma...cancer. The doctors were
optimistic and gave him a good prognosis. He went into remission soon
after until he relapsed in Feb.2002. After more chemo, radiation, and
a transplant, Sam passed away on June 23, 2002. Since then, I believe
he has continued with the missionary work and music he came to love so
much on his [first] mission to Brazil. And, I know he would be mad at
me if I don't say what I KNOW he wants me to say...and that is,
"Yo-dudes, you all better be makin' sure your getting ready for the
REAL Viewmont class of '98 reunion that will be taking place one day
in a far better place. And don't even think about not being there
unless you're willing to face the big-dawg...and I'm not talking about
myself...".
After Sam's death, I finished my last semester at BYU where I
graduated with a BA in English. Since then, let's just say I've tried
my hand at teaching seminary, kids' theater classes, I worked at Great
Harvest and started cosmetology school. However, nothing has fit and
I'm still trying to figure out Plan B. I miss Sam terribly, but I
know we are both where we need to be at this time.
These past ten years I've learned some things I never wanted to learn,
but I've learned some valuable things as well. Things like: Don't
wear rubber-soled shoes during winters in Rexburg unless you want to
fall and break your arm (the same week as finals!); laundry you do at
college NEVER smells as good or gets as clean as when your mom does
it; and that to have loved and been loved is one of the greatest gifts
any of us can ever be given.
I look forward to seeing all of you and hope that these past ten years
have brought you a little bit of learning but a LOT of love.

Mary Elizabeth Pitt

Class of '98 Today...

Tricia (Moon) Molen
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SHY8IOejVSI/AAAAAAAAAy0/lYKnwPUlla8/s400/DSC00379.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5221426930005529890" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SHY8IPRKepI/AAAAAAAAAy8/X9KrvuwXHnw/s400/DSC00386.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5221426930217810578" />
It has been so great to read up on everyone's adventures since high
school. I guess I won't waste anymore time taking my turn. After
graduation, I went to LDSBC for one year to major in Interior Design.
Unfortunately I took more interest in boys and dating than I did in
school. Eventually this worked in my favor. I met my husband Bryan
from South Jordan, in March of 1999. By December, we were married.
That fall I worked, saved, and planned a wedding and moved to St.
George in Jan. of 2000. Bryan attended Dixie while I had to pursue
something other than Interior Design. Dixie didn't offer my program so
I went to cosmetology school. In Jan. of 2001 we moved to Bozeman,
Montana so Bryan could finish his degree in Cell Biology and
Neuroscience (he's a smarty…..pants). I continued my work as a
stylist…..again another University…..no Interior Design program.
During our 3 years there, my mother passed away unexpectedly in Nov.
of 2001 while awaiting the arrival of our "surprise" to come. In May
of 2002, Alyssa (6) was born. Bryan finished school and we moved back
to Utah to be by family while awaiting medical school acceptance. We
waited a year longer than we wanted and then in 2005 Bryan was
accepted to Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in
Philadelphia a.k.a Killadelphia. In March of 2006, Mason (2), joined
the fam. So here we live in Killadelphia trying to avoid from getting
shot. So far, we're safe. Despite the crime, I absolutely love it
here! It's been a great opportunity for my family to be on the East
Coast. There is so much to see and do and enjoy and our time here is
quickly coming to an end. Bryan graduates in May of 2009 and then he
has to do a three year residency. We don't know where that will be but
we are hoping for somewhere west of the Mississippi.
After working full time as a stylist, managing salons, and being
Mom, I decided to cut back a year ago. So now I am a stay-at-home
stylist one day a week and full-time Mom. Still isn't the time to get
the degree of my dreams….but I have earned degree's in (including but
not limited to) Hannah Montana, diaper changing, Batman, how to
combat 6 year old rationale, how to support your spouse through a
medical program, and how to keep a straight face and look really upset
when you want to burst out laughing. Oh, and apparently being a
stylist means being a therapist too. But I didn't like earning that
one. So I feel accomplished! Life's been good to me these past ten
years. I have had many up's and down's and I can't wait to see what
the next ten will bring. Sadly, because of the distance, I won't be
able to make it to the reunion. Obviously much time and effort has
gone in to organizing everything…..thanks Brittney and Kirsten. It would have been nice to see familiar faces
and old friends and catch up. Keep this blog going……it's been so fun.
So here's to the next ten for everyone, hope it is happy and healthy.
If anyone wants to drop in and say "hey", please do. Then, much to my relief, I went on to serve in the decidedly un-third world Iowa Des Moines Mission. I'll gladly take steak and corn on the cob over chicken foot stew any day of the week. Once I got home, I returned to USU to pursue a degree in Graphic Design and Marketing. My last year of school, I started dating Kristen Andrews, a native of Price, Utah. We were married on May 7, 2004, a week after I became a college grad.

We lived in Logan for another year while Kristen finished school, then we moved down to the Salt Lake area. In May of '07, we bought a townhome in the Daybreak development in South Jordan. Currently I am working as a Graphic Designer for Salt City Candle Company. A one man "creative team," I design all of their catalogs, packaging, and marketing collateral. Also, I pretty much always smell like apples and cinnamon.

And lasty, our first addition, Edward James Barton, was just born on May 3rd. He always keeps things interesting for his first-time parents. He is a spittin' image of his daddy, only he doesn't smell quite as sweet. We are considering making an appearance at the picnic on Saturday because we have never had $10 popsicles before. They must be delicious.

And yes, we too have a blog (davekristen.blogspot.com), where you can find updates on the fam, as well as my random thoughts on movies and pop culture.

Class of '98 Today...

Marissa (Bench) Browning
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_T-F9z0VQpGg/SG0rL_-ux2I/AAAAAAAAABI/LLUAK_DFJgE/s320/wedding+031.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5218875028345374562" />
After Viewmont, I attended Weber State University for two years. After changing my majors a few times, I settled with Political Science with law school on my mind. I served an LDS Mission England (London South). After the mission, I transferred to The University of Utah and received my Bachelor's degree in Political Science in 2004. After working at a law firm for a few years, I realized that law school didn't seem like a great fit anymore. I currently work as a paralegal for the LDS Church working in Intellectual Property focusing on music copyright.

I married Jacob Browning four years ago. We actually met at Viewmont (he graduated in 1997), but didn't date until later (I was the last person that thought I'd marry someone from High School!). Jake currently works as a Mechanical Engineer for Van Boerum and Frank in Salt Lake. We work within a few blocks of each other and get to carpool to work together.

We currently reside in Salt Lake City and keep busy with home improvements/ gardening, running, teaching piano lessons and traveling. No children yet . . . but we are very hopeful! The last ten years have been growing time. It is wonderful to see old faces/names again on this blog and I look forward to the reunion!

TOURNAMENT TEAMS CLOSED

Thanks all for signing up for the golf tournament...good luck to the teams that entered, and here they are. But I will give it a try. After graduation I really didn’t want to go to school. I had burnt myself out with early collage and I had a good paying job, so I decided to just work for a while. In 2000 I got married and went back to school part time while working full time at an insurance agency. In 2003 I got divorced and moved to Las Vegas to restart my life. I quickly found another insurance job and some really great friends. I soon met my wonderful husband and we quickly fell in love. We were married in 2004. In 2005 I left my insurance job to have the full time job of being a mother to our daughter Juliana. In 2006 my husband left his job and we moved to the San Francisco bay area so that he could start an internship as a Public Health Microbiologist for Marin County. In 2007 I went back to school to see if I could at least get an Associates degree under my belt and after August 1st I will have accomplished that. And that brings us to 2008. In March my husband was accepted to a PhD program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. So, we will be moving from Marin County to Birmingham Alabama in less than 6 weeks (about a 3500 mile trek across the U.S). It is about a 5 year program so we are in this for the long haul. We are very excited about the move but I think we are both terrified to be leaving the comforts of job front for him to become a full time student.

I really love being a Mom and I am so glad that my husband had been so supportive of me staying home. It is a lot of hard work but it is very worth it. Because of our move in a few weeks I will on be able to attend the reunion this year and I am very sad about that. But, I have been really enjoyed seeing what everyone is up to for the last 10 years. Thank you for putting this reunion together and for putting this blog together I really hope you will keep it up after the reunion is over. And I hope to see all of you in another 10 years.

If you are interested we have a family blog at: http://natalie-livelovelaugh.blogspot.com/

Natalie (Nuzman) Edwards

Class of '98 Today...

Niki (Dutson) Rollins
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SGhhBwNWNfI/AAAAAAAAAuM/ezmIWOn3-vU/s400/P6292195.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5217526851057366514" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SGhhB4_quAI/AAAAAAAAAuU/e0ZxBc9Uxfo/s400/P6292132.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5217526853415909378" />
Way to go Student Body Officers!! I knew we picked good ones! I'm
not familiar with how class reunions are run, but I can already tell
it will be better than my husbands. I'm bummed we'll miss it, but
look forward to reading the blog to catch up with classmates!

And now to sum up the last ten years...Ahem...I graduated from Weber
State with an Associates Degree and then moved to Provo to attend BYU.
I married Ben Rollins from Layton when he returned from his mission
and then graduated with a degree in Health Education and Special
Education from BYU. After Ben graduated the next year we moved to San
Jose, CA where I taught Sp Ed for half a school year until having my
first son, Luke, in Jan of 2004. We moved up the Bay to Lafayette, CA
so that Ben could be closer to San Francisco where he worked for The
Gap as a marketer. In the meantime I kept a busy schedule of poopy
diapers, playgroups, and birthing another bouncing boy, Caleb, in May
2006. We moved to NY last fall so that Ben could get his MBA at
Cornell and just 3 weeks ago we moved down to Philadelphia so that he
could complete an internship. We'll be going back to NY in August to
start his last year and coming this January we'll head all the way
down to Monterey, Mexico where Ben will finish his last semester study
abroad. Yep, we're taking the kids and only Ben speaks Spanish!
We'll see how that goes! Enjoy the reuniting and I look forward to
seeing pictures of all the fun events - maybe posted on the blog??
That would be great!

See you in another 10,
Niki (Dutson) Rollins

The NEW Common Area at VHS-Friday Evening Venue

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SGU7Oyxr1rI/AAAAAAAAAtk/YhpCsTSxjLo/s400/101_2722.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5216640868712961714" />
Most of you haven't seen the new common area at VHS, the venue for our Friday Evening Dinner Event, where here it is. I graduated in 2003 with a BA in Dance Education. It was a pretty bad year for getting a job in education, and after living at home teaching at various local dance studios, I decided to move to sunny California. There I certified to become a Pilates instructor and met my husband Sam. We were married in the summer of 2005 and had our first child (dog-child) six months later, a miniature long-haired dachshund named Lucie. Our first/second child, Daniel, was born on September 1st last year. I worked as a private Pilates instructor until Daniel's birth and now am happily a stay-at-home mom. Life has been really good and a lot of fun so far! You can check out our blog if you like at www.tenleggedlife.blogspot.com. For a few reasons, actually. Here they are in no particular order.
First – I have probably forgotten your name. Yes, we had 3 classes together including lifetime activities and physics. That doesn't matter. I have a horrible memory. That's why when I saw you at Dick's Market a few weeks ago I quickly ducked into the other isle so I wouldn't have to embarrass myself by acknowledging your existence.
Second – the whole "reunion" thing just sounds awkward. I really hate big mingle parties. I can handle small parties with a few people, but when the party gets bigger than say, 12 people, I want to turn into a wallflower and hide. I've never really figured out why. Besides, it doesn't help that about a year into my mission, out of boredom and desperation to receive more letters, I wrote to every single girl I had a crush on in high school. Yes some of you were already married, but I had been in Portugal for a year and for some reason it felt like I'd never come home to face the reality of what I was doing. Well, I'm home now and not really too excited about seeing you ladies face to face. (NOTE: If you got one of these letters, don't be too flattered – I sent out a LOT of them. I had a lot of high school crushes).
Third – I wasn't popular in high school. There might be 1-3 people who attend the reunion, who while leaving think "Man, I wish Ike Yospe would have showed up. I miss that guy." I have kept in contact with most of my good high school buddies. We have our own reunions. And we don't wait 10 years to have them. If, however, 25 people post comments on this entry, I will gladly admit to being wrong and will happily attend the reunion.

For those of you who care enough to have read this far, I guess I can give you a short update on my life since high school… I went the U before (and after) my mission and had classes with a few of you. I was first excited (but soon I became sad) to sit next to James VanDyke in Psychology. A familiar face was welcome, but seeing James ace every test while I was getting B-'s and C+'s reminded me too much of Mr. Jackson's physics class. I already had my mission call, which didn't help my grades at all, and I spent the rest of my college career making up for that 1st semester. I ended up graduating with a degree in Journalism/Communications with an English minor.
I served in the Portugal Porto mission for 2 years (duh). Upon returning home I dated a bunch of girls but quickly settled on one – fellow ward member and class of 2000 graduate Jana Layton. Best decision I've ever made. We've been married for almost 7 years now and have 2 little boys, Luke and Max. They are the pride and joy of my life. I work at Bonneville doing marketing & promotions for KSL Newsradio, FM100, and 103.5 The Arrow. It'd be nice if they paid me a little more (doesn't everyone think that?), but I love working in radio. It's been a blast. Before the kids, Jana and I probably went to 2 concerts a week with free tickets from my job. We built a house in Woods Cross about 4 years ago, and besides living next to a big refinery, we have loved living in Davis county so close to family and friends. I do have a blog. If any out there want to check it out or keep in touch you can email me at iyospe@gmail.com

DEADLINES

GOLF TOURNAMENT DEADLINE IS My wife and I are both still poor starving graduate students and we just can't afford a trip across the country. I will miss seeing all of you.

My wife, Robyn, and I currently live in Boston, MA. We met at the University of Utah. We got married in December 2004 during my last year at the U of U. In 2005 I graduated with a double major in history and political science. That same summer we moved here to Boston so Robyn could start a graduate program in pharmacy at Northeastern University. She is currently finishing her last year of that program and will graduate next spring. I am starting my third year in a PhD program at Boston University. I am studying U.S. history, focusing on Twentieth Century U.S. foreign policy and international relations. I hope to teach at a university after I finish my degree, which should be in the next two or three years.

We really enjoy living in Boston. The Fourth of July celebration here is amazing, and it gets pretty wild when the Red Sox win the World Series and when the Celtics win the NBA championship. We have made a lot of very good friends here. My one complaint about Boston is that they don't have a lot of good Mexican food. So to compensate I have taken to making my own burritos and quesadillas, which I eat at least one of every day. Fortunately I have an amazing wife who is also an excellent cook and she makes sure I eat something other than a burrito for every meal.

I hope you are all doing well too.

Sincerely,

Chris Seely

Class of '98 Today...

Mindy (Hepworth) Haywood
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SGKhprq-QhI/AAAAAAAAAtE/GnQB06QZBbA/s400/P1000148.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5215909055918129682" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SGKhpzm2CcI/AAAAAAAAAtM/dV9vJwKcaco/s400/P1000310.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5215909058048297410" />
It's so fun to see everyone's updates and families! Here's a little synopsis of the last ten years of my life. After graduation, I went to the University of Utah. During my three years of undergrad, I went to Europe with the U's A Cappella choir and did a lot of theatre, including spending a summer performing at the Playmill Theatre in West Yellowstone. In 2001, I graduated from the U of U with an Honors BA in English and History. I then took a job working for Sylvan Learning Centers. I met my husband, Kris, when we were both in a production of Brigadoon at Rodgers Memorial Theatre. We got married in the summer of 2003. I kept working for Sylvan Learning Centers and eventually became the District Educational Manager over five centers in Utah. I went back to the U of U and graduated with a Master of Education degree in Teaching & Learning/Reading & Literacy and also earned my secondary level teaching license with a K-12 Reading Endorsement. In January 2007, we had our daughter, Halle Elizabeth. About a year ago, I left Sylvan to take my current job with Allen Communication Learning Services. I'm now an Instructional Designer. Basically, I get to write and be creative (which I love), and I get to use technology to bring my design ideas to life in web-based and instructor-led training courses for Fortune 500 companies. I also get to work from home one day a week, which is really convenient. My husband is in his last year of culinary school and it's fabulous because I don't cook. J We're both involved in a little theater called the Empress out in Magna that we helped open back in 2006. In 2004, we bought our first house in West Jordan and lived there for almost four years. We bought a new house in Woods Cross in April of this year. It's nice to be home in Davis County again. It's busy being a mom of a toddler and working full-time, but there's never a dull moment. Then I went on my mission to Manaus Brazil. After I got home I was more awkward than most return missionaries so I stayed home for a semester and attended the U. The next few years are a bit of a blur as I bounced from BYU-Idaho to UVSC to Weber and then ended up back at the U to graduate in May 2006 with my bachelor's in English (which you probably wont be able to tell from my poorly grammatisized post). Only eight years after graduating high school too! The best part of the college years was meeting my wife, Jessica. We met in 2005 in our Singles ward (typical mormon story). We got married in 2006 and soon afterwards had a little boy, Nixon, who is 18 months old now (and yes, we named him after
the President).
I helped start up a real estate investment company with my brother called
FitzRoy. I worked there for over a year and then moved to Tuscaloosa Alabama to start Law School at The University Of Alabama. I just got done with my first year and have two more to go! My wife is a stay at home mom and owns AlreadyMemories.com making DVD slideshows of Pictures for weddings, gifts and mission photos. Nixon keeps us on our toes and is one of the greatest joys of our lives.

Sadly, as a poor law student, my family and I are not able to make it to
Utah for the reunion. I hope everyone has fun though and I hope to be at
the next one!

My wife has started a blog and updates it quite frequently, so if your
interested in what we're up to, then check it out.

Www.DougicaNixon.Blogspot.com

Class of '98 Today...

Jolene (Austin) Larsen

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFwfKk61vTI/AAAAAAAAAsk/faV2-3iS2s0/s400/IMG_9667+copy.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214076735157812530" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFwfKX_2LkI/AAAAAAAAAsc/g_TDPun6kBk/s400/3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214076731689152066" />
The summer after we graduated I met and started dating my wonderful husband Bob. Soon after that I left with several of my friends to attend Utah State University. After a year at Utah State I transferred to the University of Utah. Bob and I were married in August 2000. I graduated from the U in May 2002 in Math Education. I taught Math at Clearfield High for three and a half years and did some coaching for girls soccer and girls basketball. In the fall of 2005 we had our twin girls. I finished out the semester at Clearfield and then quit to stay home with my girls. In the fall of 2007 we had our little boy. I love staying home with my kids. Bob used to ask me if I wanted to go back to work so he could be the stay at home dad until we had our third child. Apparently he thinks going to work is easier than raising three children two years and younger.

We currently live in Kaysville, where we have been for the past seven years. We love our neighborhood with great neighbors and a lot of kids. Bob continually asks if we can move closer to SLC because he hates his commute to the U, where he works for the IRB (research for the U Hospital). The past couple years I have done some tutoring in math. It is amazing how fast your brain turns to mush when you are mostly interacting with two year olds. Tutoring has helped slow that process a little.

I cannot believe how so much has changed in the past ten years. I am so excited to see everyone and I hope everyone is doing well.

Class of '98 Today...

Jill (Tingey) Schaible
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFwZuonqFxI/AAAAAAAAAr8/3mzF83buWF4/s400/Bridals+051.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214070757556623122" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFwZu5NLDQI/AAAAAAAAAsE/U9iyMdSZ274/s400/Jill%27s+Camera+253.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214070762008939778" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFwZu-33QFI/AAAAAAAAAsM/NvRdtc8JSb4/s400/wedding+014.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214070763530174546" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFwZvVkkF4I/AAAAAAAAAsU/Ee7DrYmVUxE/s400/Jill%27s+Camera+202.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5214070769623242626" />
Since High School?? I went to college off and on...it didn't like it much. But I have been slowly working on my teaching degree. For the first while I just had fun. Did a little bit of traveling and lived with some girlfriends in Sugar House. For a while I had a grown up job but then just said NO! I hate being at a desk and computer all day.
I now work for the Davis County School District as a ParaEducator and love it. I worked at CJH for a while and have to tell you guys how weird it was (but cool) to work with teachers I had as a student. I now work at a transitional school for adults 18-22 with mild to moderate dissabilities teaching life skills. It totally kicks butt! I have also spent the last seven years (taking this last year off) volunteering with Camp Hobe'; a summer camp for kids with cancer and their siblings. I have been a member of the planning committe for the majority of that time and loved helping to run things, but the year off has been good.
I met my husband Carl in 2005 and at the time was happy with my life and made it clear to him I was not interested in getting married. Well, I was swept off my feet. He was living in Maryland and we dated long distance for six months. He moved here in June o5, and we were engaged and married by July 15, 2006. I now have a lovely 7 year old step daughter who is in Maryland with her mom.
Since then the biggest thing in my life has been my struggle with my health. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis two years ago. So having been on an aray of medications my weight and health has yoyo'd. You should see how much clothing I have to support the fast changes!! Carl and I love being outdoors and have a jeep that we take just about everywhere. I have to say I loved High School but love my life even more now...who would have thought I like being a grwon up? I hope all is well with everyone else!

Our blog is jillncarl.blogspot.com

Thanks for the UPDATES...

We have had an amazing response from those who are reading the updates. They are very interesting and fun to read. It's amazing what kinds of things happen in a 10 year period. Keep sending those in and we will post them accordingly.

Also, send in your payments asap so we have an idea of how much food we need to purchase and equipment we need to rent. The deadline in July 4th. Also, don't be offended if you just received your e-mail or never received one...remember there are 645 of you and it's a major balancing act to send out mass e-mails, not to mention gathering all the e-mail addresses.

We are really excited for the reunion. We have some fun prizes that Brittney and I have tracked down to give out...like Cherry Hill passes, gift certificates to all sorts of food places, HUGE VHS Fleece blankets, and I can't tell you the rest, that would ruin all the fun :) We will also be feasting on some fun things like Gourmet Designer cupcakes made by our very own Celeste (Miller) Davis, owner of Tiers of Joy Cakes, lots of fun nostalgic candies, and somewhere in there is a main course.

We are also excited for the golf tournament and picnic. We have rented a bouncy house and a bouncy slide, and will have Frisbees and other fun things for everyone to play with. We will be providing drinks and (popsicles or snow cones, not finalized yet), not to mention the best part, which will be meeting everyone's kids and spouses. Oh also, when 3 little naughty/energetic boys start causing havoc, don't be alarmed, they are mine. This will be the closing social and we would love to have the people that go to the Friday event, also attend the picnic if possible. They will be totally different atmospheres, hence the kids, and will both be a lot of fun.

Keep sending in those updates....and payments :)

Thanks,

Kirsten (Pack) Wright

Class of '98 Today...

Alison (Tate) Brown
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFc9O-slvnI/AAAAAAAAArs/i53MiJ1Teb4/s400/Alison+(Tate)+Brown+Family+Picture.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5212702421262122610" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFc9PBqGSII/AAAAAAAAAr0/gSmE9poa8mA/s400/img589.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5212702422056978562" />
It seems like time has flown by since High School. What a fun time we had! I'm excited for the reunion activities and excited to catch up. After graduating from Viewmont (best school ever) I went to Weber State University in their Accounting program while working full time. That kept me really busy.

I started dating my husband in December of 2000. He had just returned from a mission to Perth, Australia. By February we were engaged and by May of 2001 we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. Such a dream come true, he is wonderful. We had our first little baby boy, Cody in May of 2003 and our little baby girl, Celeste in October of 2006. Cody is really a fun boy, he just turned 5 years old. Celeste is a darling little girl who talks all the time, she is 20 months old now. I love being a wife and mother, it's the best.

We have lived in Bountiful and West Bountiful and now live in Layton. We own our own hunting business and work from home. We book big game hunts all over the western states and Canada for our outfitters and landowners. This keeps us really busy. I have been in charge of publishing the magazines and administrative side. We have published 4 magazines so far.

Well that's what we've been up to lately. It's a great life. I feel so blessed. It's fun to hear what everyone else is doing, can't wait to see you all soon. I am a Data Abstractor/Research Analyst for the State of Utah Health Department and have worked there for two years. I travel all over the state abstracting baby and mom charts. I gather information on babies born with various birth defects. We have to determine if the defect is genetic, something in the water or dirt or if mom took something during the pregnancy. I absolutely love the people I work with and could not ask for a better job. I plan on being there for a very long time.
Before that I worked at a pharmacy and at Lakeview Hospital overseeing 180 physicians which was a really fun job. I have traveled a lot with friends and family to Montana, Canada, California and various camping spots around the state of Utah. In my spare time, I hang out with friends and family and entertain my 9 nieces and nephews who are a lot of fun.
It's been really fun to check out the Viewmont blog and see what has happened to people in the last ten years. Wow! See you in a few weeks!
Kristen J. It seems like 10 years has gone by faster than I remember it. Here is a little update on what I have been doing since high school. After graduation I went up to Ricks College 3 weeks later where I got my Associates Degree. I loved the campus life and enjoyed anything social that I could be apart of. I worked two summers as an EFY counselor and had a great time partying. Upon finishing at Ricks, I moved up to Utah State and instantly learned what the real party life was like. I joined Student Alumni and a few other clubs and somehow found time to finish school while there. I graduated with my Bachelors in Family Human Development in May 2002. I moved to Salt Lake City and started working for the University Neuropsychiatric Institute with the youth.

While living in Salt Lake I met Matt Clinger, my best friend (and husband), and instantly fell in love with him. We were married in January 2004. Matt attended the U of U studying Architecture while I worked for a non-profit organization, RISE, Inc. I worked with at Risk Foster Children, trying to stabilize them in a positive environment that would have otherwise been impossible for them to handle. I quit that job when we welcomed our little girl, Samantha, in May 2005. About 15 months later in August 2006, Eston, our little boy, was born. We are currently awaiting the arrival of our TWINS in November of this year. So Just like many others, I will be on the Preggo bandwagon. We live in the Sugarhouse area of Salt Lake City, but are currently looking to move to accommodate our growing family. Matt finished his Masters Degree in May 2007 and now works as an Intern Architect for an Architecture firm, MHTN Architects, that is based in Downtown Salt Lake City. We enjoy getting out of the city when we can and traveling to new places. Currently, I enjoy getting outside for a good hike, camping trip, or just to be in the sunshine. I enjoy being at home with my children, and being among my family and friends. I am very happy about what I have accomplished in the last 10 years and the wonderful things in my life. I look forward to seeing everyone else and hearing about the things that you have all been doing over this last decade.See you at the Reunion. Just like many others, our pictures are a little old. We need to update.

Class of '98 Today...

Lisa (Felman) Echols & Arron Echols

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFHjayh37HI/AAAAAAAAAq0/n7mVv6U2Lhg/s400/Picture+099.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211196293224328306" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFHjbrv1kGI/AAAAAAAAAq8/kg7r9Ob9_CU/s400/Bear+lake+dive+008.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5211196308583714914" />
Holy cow!!! 10 years!!! I'm still in shock. To me, it seems like just yesterday that I was walking down the halls of good old Viewmont High. Although I look back on those days with fondness, i don't really miss it much. I've had such an amazing past 10 years. Arron and I both started going to school pretty much right after graduation, and after what seemed like years and years, we both graduated. Arron got a Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Utah, and I went to Nursing school. Arron worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers accounting firm for 2 years and just recently changed companies and now works as an accountant for American Express. I worked in the ICU float pool at LDS hospital for 3 years and just recently decided to slow things down a bit and now do home care. (big change of pace). But we both LOVE our jobs.

Arron and I were married on July 16th, 2001. And the past 7 years married to my best friend has been amazing. We don't have any kids yet, but hope to start that part of our life soon. In the last 10 years we've worked hard and played hard. We love to travel and go anywhere we can scuba dive. We spend most weekends wakeboarding, riding our dirt bikes or working in the yard. We recently built a house in NSL, and absolutely love it!

I love looking at everyones updates and am glad to find everyone doing so well. Hope to see you all on July 11th. GO VIKINGS!! haha

Lisa (Felman) Echols & Arron Echols

You can find us at echolsevents.blogspot.com - leave a comment if you visit, and let us know how to catch up with your family. :)

Class of '98 Today...

Melissa (Grange) Pitcher
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFEmnicLirI/AAAAAAAAAqU/sWelW4enV9E/s400/fam107.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210988704546130610" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SFEmpBusODI/AAAAAAAAAqc/bv2zWCY8cHw/s400/oct07-nov07+110.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210988730125137970" />
Ten years, WOW. I never thought this day would come so fast. Well, here is a little about what I have been up to since the great 98. I went to Ricks College following High School and ended up getting my degree in Paramedicine. This is where I met my wonderful husband Nathan Pitcher from Alberta, Canada. We were in our Paramedic classes together and did our first IV’s on each other so we say it was love at first stick. We did an internship in Kansas City, MO and went back for another semester. We got married on February 17th 2001 and moved to Colorado Springs, CO for our jobs here with the ambulance company and have been here ever since. I started to work part time at an orthodontic office being a technician in 2003 along with working part time on the ambulance and teaching CPR. Nate got on with the Colorado Springs Fire Department in 2004 and in June of that year our first son Kaden was born. Sixteen months later our second son Aaron was born. Those who have boys will agree that they are balls of energy, but they are so fun and sweet. I work occasionally here and there when they need me to, which is nice. My husband works a 24-hour schedule so we don’t have to do any daycare, which we are grateful for. I keep busy with the boys all three of them and being the primary president for our church ward. In my rare spare time I enjoy doing every crafty thing possible from painting to scrapbooking and sewing. Our family loves to be outside and to take in all of our Colorado surroundings. We are expecting our first little girl in August so I will be almost 9 months pregnant when I see all of you, but it sounds like I won’t be alone. I feel bad you don’t get to meet my best friend/eternal buddy because he has to work. He is such a great husband and a father and has been so supportive in all that I do. I love being a mom and being able to be a part of my kids lives everyday because they are growing so fast. I have grown and learned so many things about myself and life in ten years that I can truly say I am so happy to be where I am right now. I am grateful for all the experiences good or bad that have made me who I am today. I am excited to see everyone at the reunion, and to find out what each of you have been doing since our Viking days. Sorry the family picture is a little old.

Melissa (Grange) Pitcher

Class of '98 Today...

Keith Moon
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SE_mN7-dRkI/AAAAAAAAAqE/PXZ3p8zRnZg/s400/AF_Keith2.JPG"border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210636421003298370" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SE_mdgtTkNI/AAAAAAAAAqM/8s5uQxNRYfQ/s400/winter-family.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210636688561508562" />
I never could have imagined the adventures that I have had in the last ten years. After high school I spent two years in France on an LDS mission. It was a marvelous experience. Upon returning, I began my scholastic studies at Ricks College [BYU-I]. I really didn't care for the school that much and decided to go elsewhere. In the meantime I joined the Utah National Guard in a linguist battalion in order to maintain my French language skills. Five months later we were attacked on 9/11. I attended basic training and went to the defense language institute knowing that upcoming deployments were sure to happen. During this time I met my wife Jen. She is an incredible woman who was able to deal with the difficulties of being a military wife. After completing my training I attended the U for two semesters and UVSC for three semesters. About this time both myself and my younger brother were called up for deployment to Afghanistan for 545 days.

I had some incredible life-changing experiences while deployed. My wife and family were a tremendous support to me during this time. Upon returning I was asked to train soldiers permanently. I have been doing so ever since. I have slowly been working on a military degree in intelligence studies/terrorism at American Military University. I am almost completed with my BA and will soon start my MA. I have a two year-old boy that is the joy of our lives and keeps us busy and my wife is due in about a week [23 May 08] with our first girl. I can't wait to see what the next decade brings.

Class of '98 Today...

Andrea (Garner) Ekins
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SE9clOzTAyI/AAAAAAAAAp0/cPxzJZ36Dys/s400/Move+and+Graduation+2008+011.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210485088589120290" />
How do I sum up the past 10 years? I went to Ricks College (now BYUI) after high school and quickly got involved with campus life. Absolutely loved the people I met and the experiences I had. The summer after freshman year I had brain surgery to remove a tumor. Anxious to get back for my sophomore year, I was determined to make my recovery short. After Ricks, I did EFY before heading to BYU Provo. I decided right away that Provo was not for me after blowing out my knee. After surgery and a semester at home, I decided to give USU a try. At the end of my junior year I met my husband Matt while we both ran for student government offices. We knew things were right from the get-go and married that summer (2002) before a busy senior year ahead of student leadership.

After graduation, we both worked in Logan (Title and Mortgage Industries) for a year before Matt was accepted to law school in Indiana. We loved our experience away from home and outside of the West. I had the privilege of teaching early morning Seminary for one year before getting pregnant with our little girl. Abigail (Abby) was born in October 2006 and I quit working for the LDS Church in Facilities Management. My time at home with Abby has been irreplaceable and I hope to be blessed in some way with more children. Matt graduated from IU Law School-Indianapolis in May 2008 and we recently made the move to St. George, Utah, where he accepted a job with a law firm. Life has been good – a few challenges, but worth the growth. Currently, I enjoy being among family and close friends, running (completed my first half-marathon in May '08), biking, playing cards, decorating, and traveling.

Class of '98 Today...

Brian Collet
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SE9bNpVSw4I/AAAAAAAAApk/9DZziocrPC4/s400/DSCN1417.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210483583882544002" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SE9bNwRTf_I/AAAAAAAAAps/YgCXEM7lTLQ/s400/DSCN1868.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210483585744863218" />
Well, 10 years has gone by quickly, but high school seems like a lifetime away. In the last decade it seems I have been moving around a lot. I spent 3 years in LA working and hanging out; moved back to UT for a couple of years to finish my B.S.; moved to NY for a year; made my way to the Midwest for graduate school; and, back to NY for work. I love NYC - the greatest city in America - but will likely end up back on the left coast. I have a new found appreciation for the mountains that were in our backyard growing up, the ocean, and open spaces - all of which I love, miss, and took for granted.

In the midst of my moving, I found somebody who was equally excited for constant change (and willing to deal with me). I married Heidi almost 5 years ago. We're expecting our first child, a boy, any day now. Heidi is terrified he'll be like me. I am still climbing, cycling, getting hurt, and generally operating at a maturity level of a 15 year old. Now Heidi will have two boys to worry about and look after. I'm hoping his first word will be "dude". I'll start the training at a young age. We are happy and doing well. I won't be able to make the reunion, but if any of you find your way out to NYC in the coming years, look me up and give me a shout. I would love to treat to dinner, drinks, or whatever. brian.collet@gmail.com

Class of '98 Today...

Brittney (Willey) Mulford
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_T-F9z0VQpGg/SE8OWj3Bz6I/AAAAAAAAABA/qExFSgfZRy8/s320/may_elj017%5B1%5D.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5210399074636910498" />
(I will send a family picture to post...soon)
Hi everyone, how time flies. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. Here is a little update on me and my life:

After high school I went to Utah State for a year where I did a lot of playing and a little bit of work. From there I went to UVSC for only a semester and did more playing and less work. From there I decided it was time to get more serious and transferred to the U where I graduated in Health Education and Promotion. In the midst of that all I met my wonderful husband, Spencer Mulford and we got married and moved to Oregon for a short time before returning to Utah.

My husband works for Zions bank and loves it. I work a few days a week as a Health Educator and teach Aerobics on the side; I like my job but most of all I love being a mom to our beautiful 2 year old daughter Elianna. We are currently in negotiations about having another baby (which by the way I’m winning, so I am not pregnant yet). We also just bought a home in West Jordan and look forward to the move.

These last 10 years have been very busy but so much fun. I look forward to seeing everyone and catching up.

See ya soon-Brittney Willey Mulford

NOW ACCEPTING PAYMENTS

You can now pay for your VHS 10-year Reunion tickets through our class blog at viewmontclassof98.blogspot.com . We are also gathering some fun prizes to give out on Friday night, which we are excited about.

See ya soon,

-Senior Officers

Class of '98 Today...

Kirsten (Pack) Wright
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SEhzWCEY5II/AAAAAAAAAns/jvzX_-94KYM/s400/k1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208539791403574402" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SEhzWaOZsEI/AAAAAAAAAn0/voj4pxDyQX4/s400/k2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208539797888020546" />
After high school, I went to Ricks College (BYUI), where I studied Graphic Design and Business, and played a whole lot. Then, I went to Utah State where I majored in Business Marketing and also played a whole lot. It was at Ricks that I started my own photography business doing weddings, family pics, and other good stuff. It was at USU that I met my husband Dave, who is from Chicago and is amazing. When I was 22, we got married and had Porter our first child almost 2 years later, then Mason 15 months later, then Bennett 16 months after that, and now I am prego with our fourth (due on Halloween), 22 months later. As you can see, we didn't waste any time having our family, which is how we wanted it. So I am almost a mother of 4 which is so crazy, and believe me, it's crazy most of the time :) I am so lucky because I get to stay home with them, and get out every once in awhile to do photos and play on Photoshop designing other fun things. We now reside in Farmington and spend our days playin' trains, cars, tractors and anything else boyish. Dave works in Bountiful at Advanced Title and does real estate stuff on the side. I've been very blessed these last 10 years and can't wait to see everyone at the reunion. Remember, you can't use pregnancy as an excuse to miss the reunion...I will 5 months prego myself. See ya there...

Class of '98 Today...

Michael Flanders
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SEhsmfdnpII/AAAAAAAAAnc/069IBofnvh8/s400/Family+pic+1.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208532377590539394" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SEhsm4tq8SI/AAAAAAAAAnk/aCoUloBhQZQ/s400/Family+pics+002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5208532384368750882" />
After High School I wasted too much time on General Ed College Courses. Then I got married to my wonderful wife Allison (Beckstead)Flanders on August 3, 2002. Then I wasted too much time trying to get into pharmacy school. During this time we had two adorable little girls. Now I am starting my IT career and I love it. We are currently living in Murray. My wife is a stay at home mom and she loves every minute of it. If you want to know more about my family and what we are up to, my wife has made a blog and you can find it at www.allisonflanders.blogspot.com.

Class of '98 Today...

Kierstin (Spjut) Laws
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SES9iU9ggdI/AAAAAAAAAnM/W13-COpYgYY/s400/IMG_2491.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5207495466587029970" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SES9i4RmnuI/AAAAAAAAAnU/jq2CbqdYy5o/s400/family+at+pumpkin+patch+2007.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5207495476066557666" />
Hi everyone! I cannot believe that we're already having at our 10th reunion! Holy crap, I feel old. I am so excited to see all of my old friends and reminisce about 'the good old days' in High School. The past 10 years have been a blast for me and I have grown and learned so much. Here's what's been going on in my life since 1998:

I went straight to college at Weber State University majoring in pre-med for a while and then switched two more times to finally settle on Health Promotions and Education. I attended Weber for 1 1/2 years and then transferred up to the U of U. I stayed at home for most of this time and worked at Xcel Spa and Fitness and commuted to school each day. I moved out to Salt Lake with some friends and dated and had a blast. I met my husband, Reed Laws while working at Xcel in 1999. He is from Provo and is a graduate of the U of U in Business Finance. He owns an employment agency based out of N. Salt Lake called Your Employment Solutions. We were married in 2000 and lived in Farmington for the first 3 years. We currently reside in Layton. We have two beautiful children, Mikaela (6 1/2 yrs.), and Max (4 1/2 yrs.) and another little girl due on July 20th. I get to be home with my kids each day and I love my job as a Mom, and though it is stressful and exhausting at times, I wouldn't trade it for anything. We have had some fun opportunities to travel a bit and are lucky to be involved with a non-profit organization called Amigos of Honduras and get to travel to Honduras to do humanitarian work a few times each year. There are still so many places to see, people to meet and dreams to fulfill. I wish I had some exciting story to tell of what I've been up to over the past decade, but I don't. I'm looking forward to seeing you and hearing your stories to catch up.

Class of '98 Today...

AraAnn Malmstrom
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SERKwddFccI/AAAAAAAAAnE/4RzjogBQ8xk/s400/AraAnn+4.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5207369265547932098" />
I'm as single as they get and I'm ok with that. I like to travel alot and I usually go all by myself. I am currently working in the payroll department at the corporate offices for JCPenney in downtown Salt Lake City & I absolutely LOVE my job! I basically process payroll for every JCPenney and office in the United States and Puerto Rico. Unfortunately, I am still living at home, but because of my finances, I can't afford to live on my own. I am hoping that towards the end of 2008, first part of 2009, I can move out on my own again.

Last year I went on my first vacation by myself & ventured down to Los Angeles. It was kind of scary at first. I was staying in a hotel in Chinatown!!!! If you've ever seen the movie 1408 with John Cusak, that hotel was MY hotel!!!! I got over it pretty quickly though. My whole goal while I was down there was to go to a taping of The Price is Right. Unfortunately, I didn't make it. When you get tickets to go to The Price Is Right, it doesn't guarantee you a seat in the audience. They only take the first 250 people in line. Since I was down there by myself, I didn't want to camp out on the sidewalk by myself. So, I woke up at 3:00 a.m. the morning of the taping and went over to the studio, and the line was wrapped around the block 2 times!!!! I just left and drove home a day early. But hey, at least I can say I tried. :-)

I have attached a picture for you. :-) P.S. I don't think I'm really as fat as I look in the picture. Lol.

Class of '98 Today...

Celeste (Miller) Davis
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SEI25-XbrII/AAAAAAAAAm0/FYNevGzJRBk/s400/DSC_0076-25x7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5206784488815438978" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4lnymnzFxQk/SEI26PPbiAI/AAAAAAAAAm8/v6I3pYTK0cQ/s400/DSC_0322-15x7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5206784493345277954" />
Hello Fellow Vikings! I cannot believe it's been 10 years, I simultaneously feel old and not old somehow. Man, how do I sum up the weird wandering road I've been on since graduation? Sorry if this doesn't make sense, but here goes:
didn't go directly to college, instead tried to model, crappy marriage, divorce, went to a lot of concerts, dated a lot of losers, learned a lot, meet & married amazing wonderful husband (Matt Davis), graduated from the U of U in Human Development & Family Studies, took a few fun vacations, rescued awesome Great Dane mix dog, had beautiful baby girl (Sawyer Susie Davis) in November 2005, built house in Layton which is where we currently live. Matt works at Advanced Title in Bountiful, I do wedding & special occasion cakes occasionally, and Sawyer colors and dances and jumps on the trampoline. I feel so blessed to just be where I am and loving every minute of life. I am excited to see everyone again. Thanks to everyone who has put sooooo much work into organizing this reunion, it sounds like quite a time-suck, so THANKS!!!
Celeste Davis (Miller)

('98 classmates, send in a couple of paragraphs and a couple pictures about your life since VHS. Thanks to Doug's lovely wife Jessica, we will have a DVD playing Friday night of "pictures from the past." Therefore, we need you to send in your pics that represent our senior year Pictures must be received by June 10th (which is just a couple weeks away). Each person is allowed just 2 photos, since we have such a large graduating class and you can imagine the time that would take to put these into the DVD. You can submit any type of "tasteful" photos...group pics, friend pics, Glamour Shots (not encouraged), funny pics, sad pics, whatever pics. We're excited to see all of them! Once again, they must be sent in by June 10th in order to leave time for the creation process. Your pics will most likely be scans, since we graduated in the Ice Age. When you scan your photos, please make sure the files are not gargantuan. You can do this by scaning them at 300 dpi, which is standard. If you have any other questions shoot us an e-mail.
